Building your support circle before baby arrives
Specific offers of help are easier to accept.
List the people
Write down family, friends and neighbours who have offered to help.
Match people to tasks
Meals, washing, walks with the dog, or holding the baby while you shower.
Make specific asks
“Could you drop off dinner on Tuesday?” is easier to say yes to than “let me know if you need anything”.
